Used to make teas and to flavour many vegetable and meat dishes and, of course, paired with onion to make sage and onion stuffing sage is a useful herb to grow in your garden. It loves a warm, sunny and sheltered spot and is attractive enough to be grown with other ornamental plants.
Sage officinalis ‘Icternia’ – common sage; great with meat dishes, sausages and stuffings due to its particularly strong flavour
Salvia officinalis ‘purple sage’ – purple leaved form of the common broad leaved sage
