Skimmia jap. Rubella

Skimmia japonica ‘Rubella’ is a compact male skimmia. It has reddish/green leaves with dark red flower buds forming in autumn and throughout winter, the flowers open in spring.  Evergreen shrub.

Use planted in the garden border or in winter containers and hanging baskets. Skimmia japonica Rubella likes moist but well drained soil in partial to full shade, it can also tolerate light/ sandy/ clay/ heavy/ moist or acidic soils. Prune after flowering in spring, happy in any aspect, height and spread 75cm.
